🌿 “Supporting your wellbeing with warmth, care, and understanding.”
Hi and welcome!
My name is Amanda Walsh. I am a trauma - informed and integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Glanmire, Co. Cork, Ireland, offering both in-person and secure online sessions for adolescents and adults. I am a fully insured member of the Irish Association for counselling and Psychotherapy which regulates and ensures adherence to ethical standards.
When Life Feels Heavy
Life can sometimes feel overwhelmingly heavy. It may be a worry that won’t switch off, sadness that lingers, painful memories or thoughts that become intrusive or a sense that you’ve lost your way. These struggles can leave you feeling stuck and can deeply affect how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.
Reaching out for support takes courage, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Here to Support You
I offer therapy both in-person and online, providing the same warmth, care, and depth of support, whether you prefer the connection of face-to-face sessions or the flexibility of meeting online. Each counselling and psychotherapy session is 50-60 minutes in duration, giving us time to explore what’s on your mind in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma (Level 9) in trauma‑informed therapy, with specialist training in adolescent psychotherapy, chronic illness support, counselling psychology, and trauma crisis intervention.
I have professional training and experience working therapeutically with neurodivergent adolescents and adults. I also have specialist experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, bereavement, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including but not limited to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Psychodynamic Therapy, to deliver personalised, client-centered care.
I work collaboratively with clients to foster insight, build resilience, and support meaningful change within a safe and reflective therapeutic environment.
